Mardi Gras in SWLA

Mardi Gras in Southwest Louisiana is family-friendly and super-sized, with over 60 Krewes. The Mardi Gras season in Southwest Louisiana officially kicks off each year on Twelfth Night (twelve days after Christmas) and runs through Fat Tuesday, aka Mardi Gras Day.

Since Mardi Gras is based on Lent, the start and end of the season change each year, moving in accordance with Easter Sunday. For all the events and details for the upcoming season visit SwlaMardiGras.com.
