Field Trips at the Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu

Bring your students on an unforgettable journey into Southwest Louisiana’s most vibrant tradition! The Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu warmly welcomes school groups to explore the artistry, history, and pageantry of Mardi Gras in an educational setting.

From dazzling royal costumes and sparkling crowns to talking animatronic dogs that explore the history of the Barkus parade, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the creativity and community spirit behind this beloved celebration. A large focus is placed on the Cajun and Creole cultures in Southwest Louisiana as well.

We recommend allowing a minimum of one hour to fully enjoy the museum.

Field Trip Rates (10 or more people):  $5 per student plus tax with waived admission for teachers. Field trips require 24-notice.
